Government Teachers Training College, Khulna is a well-known institution in the Sundarbans inhabited southwest and stands in a beautiful green environment of nature. The organization was formed in the beginning of the great war of liberation in 1970. This institution can be called the maternity ward of making secondary level teachers. The teachers trained here have been playing a relentless role in nation building. Under the National University, BEd 1 year, BEd (Hons) 4 years and M.Ed 1 year regular programs are running. Various short-term training activities for secondary level school and madrasa teachers are also being conducted every year. In addition, for the development of professional skills of secondary level teachers, various trainings related to education including ICT and education management are imparted in this college. A team of skilled members at various levels led by the principal is constantly working on the physical and academic development of the college. At present the Department of Secondary and Higher Education and the Ministry of Education are working on improving the quality of education, implementing SDG-4 by 2030, building a digital Bangladesh and upgrading it to a developed country by 2041. The MP is working simultaneously. In fact, the formation of Sonar Bangla by the nationalist Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is our only goal.
