Khulna Teachers Training College is the sixth teacher training college in Bangladesh. Khulna Teacher's Training College was established in the year 1970. With the purpose of creating skilled teachers through proper training. Teachers’ Training College, Khulna, a pioneer college of Bangladesh, was established on 8.25 acres of land in 1970. During the pre-liberation period of Bangladesh, it was one of the ten government institutions. This institution started its journey through the beginning of B.Ed course in the session 1970-71. The first B.Ed course was conducted and degree was awarded by Rajshahi University till 1994 even often the establishment of National University in 1992. Now National University has been awarding B.Ed course degree at a time throughout the country since 1994. At the very beginning of the construction, the institution comprised of a three storied L patterned academic building, a spacious three storied hostel building, a principal’s quarter, a hostel super’s building, a hostel asst. Super’s building, and a guard quarter, Afterwards, a pond was dug in the middle of the principal’s quarter and the hostel building. In 1980, at the north of the pond, a three storied women hostel was constructed with the finance of SEDP project. There is a big play ground. Soon after the construction of the mosque at the beginning of 2000, the Shaheed Minar was built at the right side of the entrance of the main academic building adjacent to the college main gate. From 2000, M.Ed course is being conducted in this college.
This institution is located at 10.km north away from the centre of Khulna city and some 200 meters away from Khulna- Dhaka highway, i.e., it is found in the west side of KUET and in the east side of Govt. Laboratory High School, Khulna, B.Ed, M.Ed, and various Professional training activities are conducted here in this institution which is presently known as Govt. Teacher’s Teacher’s Training College, Khulna.

It is located in Khulna Divisional City. Khulna Teachers Training College is the third largest divisional city in the southwestern region of Bangladesh, located in Fulbargate in the northwest region of Khulna. Of the 2 Teachers Training College in Khulna Division, one is in Khulna Divisional City and the other in Jessore District. Khulna Teacher Training College provides training to secondary school teachers in 6 districts of Khulna division and Jessore Teacher's Training College provides training to secondary teachers in the remaining 4 districts.
Campus: Khulna is located 5 km from Zero Point in the city. The communication from the campus to the city is very good. It is located 12 kilometres from the bus terminal of Khulna district and 10 kilometres from Khulna railway. It is located on an area of 8.25 acres. Khulna is located next to the Khulna University of Engineering & Technology.

Admission System:
Admission to the Honors Course
Under the National University, 3-year honors and 5-year Masters Degrees were awarded in education. The 3-year Honors Degree is to be completed for 5 semesters and the regular Master's program for two semesters. Students who pass the HSC Exam can take admission in a 3 year period of course. The total number of seats in the honors is 5. Arnas course is required to complete 5 semesters in 5 years. Apply online after the admission circular on the National University website. Publication of college-based merit list on the website of National University based on the results of SSC & HSC after applying online. After seeing the merit list, an applicant can contact the respective college and complete the admission program.
Admission to B.Ed and M.Ed courses
Here students who pass Graduation and Degree Pass Courses from National Universities and other Universities can enroll in a 5 year B.Ed and M.Ed course. Application forms are invited from B.Ed and M.Ed applicants every year in October-November. The admission process has to be completed by the month of December and academic activities for the B.Ed and M.Ed courses are started in the new curriculum starting in January. Admission is to be completed following specific admission rules. There are 5 seats for the B.Ed course. At the end of the B.Ed course, there is also the opportunity for admission to a higher degree MA course. There are 5 seats in the M.Ed course.
